The contributors to save5net and hostagerecoverycom will host an international summit to discuss the plight of  those who have been who taken captive in Iraq

Mark Koscielski believes that this gathering would allow the families whose loved ones are being held in Iraq to offer mutual support and exchange information. We now know a lot more about the November 16, 2006 kidnapping of four Americans and one Austrian. Saddam Hussein released more than 100,000 prisoners into the general population before the American liberation. These criminals, not terrorists groups, are responsible for the preponderance of kidnapping and hijacking taking place.

Because most governments will not deal with kidnappers, one of the goals of our meeting is to set up a resource site where the families of victims kidnapped anywhere in hostile territory can go for help, information, and comfort.

The summit will take place March 27-29 at the Comfort Inn Airport,

1321 E. 78th St  Bloomington MN 55425, USA.
Phone: (952) 854-3400. Fax: (952) 854-2234.

UPDATE 02-11-2008 06:45

Over the last six to eight months, the save5.net has received from their contacts information that the hostages may have been moved to Iran without the Iranian authorities’ knowledge. Many other detainees previously believed have been killed may also be held in the unofficial Irani “retention” camps.  The save5.net and some of the captives’ families have initiated requests that the formal Iranian government help in the investigateing and recovery of these hostages.

UPDATE 01-21-2008 08:44

Save5.net was setup to help get the hostages back that was taken on 11-16-06 in Iraq. The web site has received many Intel and info reports from many personal in Iraq and here in the U.S. who had first hand knowledge of the hi-jacking that day. Here is some of what we had received from one report: L-1 Camp Navistar that crescent boys had been arrested at the border in eye sight of the U.S. Army. L-5 Basra police dept. top staff officers and I did call my friend and ask him to help he said he would and he did call me back in 1 hour and said they are safe and in the jail. L-13 Police major in charge of the Basra police dept said to me they are safe and in a jail in the city of Basra and can be released if the company will meet and discuss terms of their violations and pay fines. (Please note that C/S/G did not call the Police to pay off the fines.) Please also note that I been told many times by the F.B.I. and U.S. Government that the U.S. does not deal with terrorist groups. The reward still stands for any info on the recovery of the hostages.

Dear Mr. President:

Almost four weeks have passed since the families of the Crescent Security hostages and I sought your help in retrieving the men from Iraq . You have not done anything to assist us in bringing our friends and loved ones home. The families spent thousands of dollars of their own money to print up flyers for distribution over certain areas of Iraq . Your U.S. State Department representative, Ms. J. Foo, had assured the captives’ families that the U.S. Government would take responsibility for composing, printing, and airlifting the flyers overseas. Seven months later, Ms. J. Foo finally informed the families that the U.S. State Department had reneged and would not play a role in the leaflet distribution.

Mr. President, it is TOTALLY WRONG for the United States to do this to the families of the captives. The families acted in good faith; the United States Government pretended to offer them hope but deprived them of it. Now it’s your turn to do the right thing for the hostages, their families, and their friends. Please order a C-130 aircraft to drop the flyers over three cities in Iraq . I’m even willing to help drop them myself. If you don’t provide air support for this operation, I believe the odds of the guys coming back alive are zero percent.

To all: Please forward copies of this letter to your president and the hosts of your favorite radio and television talk shows. If a huge number of people promote this effort, we can bring the hostages home.

Thanks

Mark Koscielski

PAUL REUBEN "A FRIEND TO ALL"

UPDATE NOV 27 07 22:25

Mark Koscielski said that he and the families of the hostages had contacted U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (D - CA), Hillary Rodham Clinton (D - NY), Norm Coleman (R - MN), Dianne Feinstein (D - CA), Amy Klobuchar (D - MN), Charles E. Schumer (D - NY), Claire McCaskill (D - MO). The families also sought assistance from U.S Representatives Keith Ellison (D - MN, 5th), John Kline (R - MN, 2d), Sam Graves Sam (MO, 6th), and Governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty (R). "They all had refused to help the families”

Some of the politicians held secret closed-door hearings about the hostages, but once these hearings concluded, they broke off all contact with the family members and Mr. Koscielski.

Finally, over a month ago, when no help was forthcoming from the politicians, the families cooperated to produce 90,000 flyers in Iraqi that gave details about each of the men, the circumstances underlying their captivity, and the award awaiting anyone who provided information that led to their return. These flyers are now in the Middle East ready to be dropped over 3 cities in Iraq .

Mark Koscielski and 6 U.S. Vets of the Iraq War have volunteered to load the leaflets onto a plane, fly to the 3 Iraq cities, and distribute them over Iraq . The Surge has ushered in an unprecedented era of cooperation between the Iraqis and the U.S. forces. We hope these flyers will prove to be an individualized attempt to gain information that will enable us to redeem our “Band of Brothers.”

Mr. Koscielski said that if there is any hope of bringing these men back alive, President Bush must order air support to get the flyers distributed in Iraq . “He can do it.”
