They did try to negotiate, but the F.B.I. did not want to. More will be said on the March 28th meeting.

i feel lucky to call Paul a friend, i was his commander for over a year when he worked for a British company before he moved to Crescent, i just want you to know that there are lads this side of the pond who are thinking of him.

I am so sorry for all of your losses. I did know these men, but do know Johnathan very well. I will keep all of you in my prayers....

MMR, killing hostages means nothing to Iraqi terrorists or ransom seekers. Also, the kidnapping was partly a revenge act since some of the kidnappers were fired Crescent Security employees. I thought Bert had a chance since he was Austrian but I guess I was wrong.

After all this time in captivity, why kill them now? Barbarians. No negotiations? My thoughts and prayers are with the families, as they have been from day one.

Mark, I am sorry about Ronald and John's deaths. I had a feeling they were dead but I obviously wished that they would return alive. I hope we find out the identities of the other three bodies soon. I am an athiest but if there is a heaven than Ronald and John are definitely there right now.

I continue to pray each day and each night that some how, some way this comes to an end. I feel so deeply saddened by the latest news and I cry for the families that have been left behind. I pray for strength and courage for the parents, siblings, spouses and of course their children. May God keep you close throughout these difficult days ahead. God Bless You!

My son Bradley, lived with Jon Cote in the army. They were both in the 82nd Airborne. What a bright, kind and wonderful person he is. I know that God is watching over all of them and pray for all their safe return soon. My thoughts, heart and prayers are with all the family!
