I am stepfather to R.J.Withrow. His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. this saturday. Maybe after that my wife and I can get back to a normal life of sorts. At least now he is safe. The bad guys can't hurt him anymore. I pray that the other families are doing ok, as well as they can. PAUL, JOSHUA, JOHN, JON, BERT, and R.J. God speed, we will see all of you again someday. We love you.

Part 2 Paul liked a variety of music-on any given day you could catch him listening to Air Supply and then Eminem, singing as loud as he could as I covered my ears. I think when it comes to accomplishments and things done well-Paul was by far the most proud of his â??beige babesâ?. Nothing mattered more to Paul then his girls and it was his girls he was most excited to come home to. I want to take it upon myself to speak for all that knew Paul- We all love you Paul, you have touched and enriched our lives and we THANK YOU! You were truly a gift from God and we are thankful to have had the time we did with you. Selfishly, it seems the time was too short but the phrase â??quality not quantityâ? comes to mind- you were one of a kind â??Paully Paulâ?, Rest in Peace.

WHO WAS PAUL REUBEN? Part 1 Paul was my roommate several years ago. He was such a wonderful person and I couldnâ??t ask for a better friend. I am truly a better person because of Paul and feel honored to have had him in my life. He was always there to listen without passing judgment for support and would always do whatever he could. He was such a gentle and giving soul, always putting others before himself. Paul was very brave, courageous and strong but also the most sensitive man I know. In his career in the military, as a police officer, and in Iraq Paul had to endure many things that were very hard for him. I remember him coming home crying after many calls that were very hard for him to see and deal with but he kept on in his quest to help-this was Paul, and helping is what made him complete. Paulâ??s favorite color was deep police blue, (not the CS Officer â??pansy powder blueâ? as he called it)) When he got braces in his mid 30s he was very excited to find out he could get â??police blueâ? rubber bands on his braces to match his uniform, I think I really hurt his feelings when I broke it to him that the blue bands looked pretty silly and maybe the clear bands were a better choice. He also decided to get police blue sheets for his bed and was elated when I took the police patches of his old uniforms and sewed the patches on his pillowcases-he was like a little boy with new cartoon sheets-only better! Paul had a crazy sense of humor that sometimes left me with a scrunched up nose saying-WHAT!! I didnâ??t always get his jokes but it didnâ??t matter because he could crack himself up!!
